QuesCom, the European voice and data specialist, today announced that it has installed its QuesCom 400 solution at the Hertfordshire headquarters of Basilica Computing Ltd, a service-focused IT solutions provider.
Basilica provides a range of companies with the IT infrastructure to support their call centre facilities – some of which handle up to 200 enquiries each day. The QuesCom 400 was selected by Basilica as core component of a recent call centre upgrade for one of its key clients as it has the ability to provide intelligent call routing, voice messaging capabilities and a GSM gateway at a fraction of the cost associated with installing a new PBX.
Colin Hewitt, Network Manager at Basilica, explains: “We did look at other solutions, but there’s nothing else on the market today that can do what the QuesCom 400 does at such a competitive price point. It would have cost us around £100,000 to replace the existing PBX infrastructure, but the QuesCom 400 came in at less than ten per cent of that price and provides us with the same functionality we would have expected from a newly installed state-of-the art telecomms network.”
Basilica has also installed a QuesCom 400 in its own offices, where it delivers tangible ROI and immediate business benefits by providing the company with a GSM gateway. This means expensive outgoing landline-to-GSM calls can be re-routed automatically to cheaper GSM-to-GSM calls – halving Basilica’s phone bill from over £1,200 to around £600 per month. Furthermore, the QuesCom 400 is able to send all incoming faxes, emails and voicemails to a single in-box on each person’s PC screen – helping to rationalise communications and increase efficiency.
Teddy Théanne, UK Country Manager for QuesCom concludes: “This latest installation demonstrates the true versatility of the QuesCom 400, and the value it can bring to businesses. More than ever, those with IT spending power want to hear about the practical impact that any purchase will have on their companies, alongside any discussion of ROI. Up until now, both aspects have proven to be somewhat illusive in the telecommunications sector but, with an increasing base of customer reference sites, QuesCom can prove its technology delivers on its promises in a variety of scenarios, and across diverse vertical sectors.”
