QuesCom outlines aggressive UK expansion plans

Strong Channel Recruitment Initiative to Support Growth

London, U.K., Thursday, July 3, 2003:

QuesCom, the European voice and data specialist, today unveiled aggressive plans for targeting the UK comms market. The QuesCom 400 communications server will sit at the heart of the company’s strategy, offering cost-effective and competitive access to IP services – which includes unified messaging, IP Telephony services and CTI Integration – and a painless migration strategy from PBX technology – without forcing companies to go to the expense of replacing their existing communications infrastructure.

QuesCom is confident that it can fulfil its ambitious UK growth plans by reducing the expense and inefficiency associated with corporate communications. The QuesCom 400 can provide immediate ROI to end-users as it cuts phone bills by up to 50 per cent. This is achieved by intelligently re-routing GSM calls through the cheapest mobile service provider. Furthermore, the QuesCom solution is able to increase the efficiency of corporate communications, and improve customer responsiveness, by providing a unified messaging facility with the capacity to deliver email, faxes and voicemail into a single electronic in-box.

Teddy Théanne, UK Country Manager for QuesCom explains: “QuesCom’s proposition should be of tremendous interest to UK businesses. The current economic climate dictates that, in order to remain competitive, companies must save costs wherever possible – and that all IT purchases must deliver a fast, visible and tangible return on investment. The QuesCom 400 achieves this, while maintaining an extremely competitive price point and delivering immediate benefits to end-users.”

QuesCom will deliver the QuesCom 400 exclusively through the channel, having signed a local distribution deal with Norwood Adam and a pan-European agreement with Anixter. QuesCom intends to expand its UK reseller base to include over 50 voice and data resellers within the next 12 months, and is currently implementing a channel programme to include accreditation and comprehensive marketing support.

Manny Pinon, Sales and Marketing Director at Norwood Adam comments: “Prior to beginning our partnership with QuesCom, we undertook an extensive period of testing and evaluation in the marketplace. This confirmed our opinion that the QuesCom 400 is a unique proposition, and delivers excellent value to end-users, as well as generous margins to our resellers. The solution is aimed at SME environments with 30 to 300 personnel per site, but also scales to support corporate environments. We look forward to continuing our successful relationship with QuesCom, and supporting them during their exciting expansion plans within the UK.”

Kevan Sproston, Marketing Director at Anixter, concludes: “QuesCom’s products provide an excellent technology deployment and margin retention opportunity for Anixter and its resellers. They also enable end users to benefit from cost-effective business communications solutions that deliver immediate returns on investment.”
