QuesCom today announced it is working with dynamicsoft, a leading provider of carrier-class communications infrastructure solutions for packet-based wireline and wireless networks. The collaboration agreement brings session initiation protocol (SIP) support to QuesCom's solutions, permitting companies to take advantage of new IP Telephony based services and at the same time reduce their communications cost.
SIP is emerging as the global protocol of choice when establishing conferencing, telephony, multimedia and other types of communication sessions on IP based networks and the Internet. End-users are offered even greater flexibility. For example, the ability to group calls or to change the call characteristics to incorporate videoconferencing or audio conferencing. Personal mobility, terminal-type negotiation/selection (Internet telephony, mobile phone or an answering service) and the ability to fork an incoming call so that several extensions can be rung at once are key services that QuesCom will now deliver.
Philippe Oros, CEO of QuesCom, explains: “This is a significant step for us for two key reasons. Firstly, it matches our vision for the future, allowing us to ensure that we offer our customers a comprehensive range of products and services. Secondly, it demonstrates how Internet telephony is evolving from its use as a purely economical way of making international phone calls to a serious business telephony capability.”
“This agreement between QuesCom and dynamicsoft will give QuesCom's enterprise customers the ability to deploy a range of new communications services based on a SIP solution,” said Joan Spindel, vice president of marketing at dynamicsoft. “This is further proof that the real value of IP-based communications is delivered through the creation and delivery of enhanced services such as conferencing.”.
QuesCom has joined the dynamicsoft NetValue Partner Program, which is designed to offer service providersa total-solutions approach to building converged networks and services. Service providers can choose solutions from NetValue members with the assurance that those products have been tested for interoperability with dynamicsoft's carrier-class solutions.
QuesCom distinguishes itself from other IP telephony product providers in the marketplace by leveraging an enterprise's existing infrastructure. A carrier can boost revenues with new IP applications that can be deployed immediately, and minimise customer expenditure by providing these new services on existing equipment.
