QuesCom, a European manufacturer of innovative solutions based on True Convergence Solutions for Voice and Data, announces today the opening of their new office in Sophia Antipolis, France (Europe's Leading Science Park).
The new site is already employing a team of 15 people, but the current recruiting campaign should quickly double this number to approximately thirty people by the end of the year.
"Our goal is to rapidly expand the Research and Development and the Sales and Marketing activities, and Sophia Antipolis seems to be one of the best place for our growth projects" says Philippe Oros, President at QuesCom.
In order to support QuesCom's development, a first financial round was received in an amount of $7M from 3 Venture Capital companies: Sofinnova, SGAM and Cross Atlantic Ventures.
Management Team
QuesCom's management team has a vast experience in the field of Telecommunications, and more specifically with the convergence of Voice and Data.
Philippe Oros, 38, President of QuesCom is graduated from SUPELEC (l'Ecole Supérieure d'Electricité), Consultant for several large enterprises, General Manager of Sinfor Electronique, Founder of Synaptel S.A., President and General Manager of Synaptel S.A. until 1996, Vice-President of WAN Technologies at Interphase Corporation since then. At QuesCom, Mr. Oros is in charge of General management, product strategy and of Marketing and Sales development.
Thierry Perrand, 38, Co-founder and Director of Industrial Operations and Administration at QuesCom: graduate of the l'Ecole Centrale Paris; Developer, then Project Leader at Synaptel; Telecommunications and VoIP Consultant at Cortical S.A., a service contractor. At Quescom, M. Perrand heads the R&D Hardware department, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Administration.
Philippe Bessaguet, 40, Co-founder and Director of Product Marketing and R&D Software: graduate of the Ecole Supérieure d'Electronique de l'Ouest; Developer, then Project Leader at Alcatel then Project Leader and head of Pre-Sales at Synaptel; Technical Sales Manager at Nortel. At QuesCom, Mr. Bessaguet is in charge of R&D Software (on-site and off-site), as well as product management.
Peter Derks, 40, Vice President Sales and Marketing, Dutch nationality, is graduated from the Eindhoven University in Industrial Engineering and Management Science He gained 15 years of extensive experience in Marketing and Sales in the Data and Telecommunications Industry both on the European and International marketplace. Peter started his career in 1986 with Positronika as product manager specialised in Networking. In 1990, he joins Triple P Networking in the Netherlands as Marketing manager, leading both Pre-Sales support and Product Management teams. Before joining QuesCom he spend over 6 years at N.E.T., both in developing markets for ATM as well as in Sales. Most recently he served as Sales Director for Southern Europe. Peter has an extensive experience in both Marketing and Sales in the international arena.
